Dear Marrack,
With reference to our conversation
today about the Hong Kong aerodrome, I have
fixed 11.30 a.m., on Friday the 25th February,
for our conference.
The Air Ministry are,
of
course, sending representatives.
In view of the urgent Air Ministry
request in their official letter No. S.23467/5.6
The
of the 3rd of February, we sent the Governor a
telegram, of which a paraphrase is enclosed.
present position will be seen from the enclosed
copy of the Governor's reply dated the 17th of
February.
We have now to decide
(a) whether or not the complete aerodrome
is to be provided on the scale originally
contemplated,
(b) if so, who is to pay for it,
(c) if not, whether the land now in use and
in
P.E. MARRACK, ESQ., O.B.E.
